Mossbourne Herd Lane Academy

It is expected that all students will travel to and from the academy every day in neat, clean uniform as specified below, giving the clear message that our students take pride in belonging to the Academy.

Any student who breaks a condition of the Mossbourne Uniform and Appearance Expectations will receive a sanction in line with the behaviour policy and may be sent home, removed from normal circulation or placed in the Behaviour/Learning Support Unit. As per the Home Academy Agreement, parents/carers must support their child in adhering to this policy.

Expectations

Uniform is compulsory for all year groups from Nursery to Year 6.

All uniform must be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

The academy hold a selection of pre-loved uniform, please speak to the academy office for further details.

General Uniform Requirements

• Academy jumper or cardigan (with the logo)
• White polo shirt (with or without the logo)
• Grey trousers, grey skirts or dress
• Grey socks or grey tights
• All black shoes
• Gold or silver plain stud earrings
• Coats, hats, gloves and scarves plain dark colour
• Nursery – Year 2 Academy Book Bag

Uniform for PE 

• Black shorts, tracksuit trousers or leggings
• Academy PE t-shirt
• Mainly black trainers
• Grey or white socks

Summer Optional Variations

• Green checked dress with white socks
• Black sandals (must be secure with backs)
• Hats (must not be a distraction)

• Plain and dark in colour
